Beauty is Shoe, Shoe Beauty

Today for the first time I thought of shoes as art. I would never wear these pieces but I would put them in a glass case lit softly by a suspended lamp much like a coveted Ming vase. The title of the post is the title Andy Warhol gave to a sketch that he made when he was working as a shoe illustrator.

He probably made great strides towards making shoes into an object of whimsy. Because they are whimsical. See below.
This is an Alexander McQueen done in cream leather with a sculpted resin leaf look.

Construction genius here. This is made by Dutch designer Marloes ten Bhömer with stainless steel and leather. Apparently wearable.
Absolutely stunning symmetry. Louboutin. Gold and taupe textured leather and that absolute blade of a heel. If I could wear heels, I'd buy this one in a heartbeat. Or to be honest, get someone in Karachi to copy it and then buy it.

This is a Gucci. Hand woven, leather boots with that really unusual peep toe style that would make it look super elegant even with a cocktail dress I daresay.

And the last item on the list

Prada's absolutely hilarious red and nude leather production. I think they would hit just below the knee.
